Virtually every commercial, industrial or public building
contains one or more perimeter fire exit doors that must be
installed and maintained in accordance with the building codes
and laws.
-
These exits are often exposed to public access and suffer
repeated attack as points of illegal entry.
-
Electronic security measures deter such attacks but do
not prevent forced entry. Additional protection by way of non-compliant “locks” or “plates” is
common though illegal and may result in
Breach of building occupation or fire certification with
liability of that breach and possible prosecution
Breach of fire certification or “TAG” in
the case of fire rated door sets
May void the public liability insurance conditions in
the event of a fire
The unique solution is now available!
MDF Group Pty Ltd have developed and tested a unique system to
deter intruders and to prevent forced entry to properties as a
solution to the abovementioned
problem.
Able To Withstand Attack, the aptly named ATWA
Lockshield (Patent Pending Application No. 2005906658) is a lock protection system
that consists of engineered stainless steel plates that can be
fitted to existing outward opening fire egress doors and frames
of suitable construction or to new installations of up to four
hour fire rating (Tested to 4hr to AS 1905 Part 1 – 1997
and BS 476 Part 22 – 1987).
